Back on topic.

Some people see it as whining, and others see it as asking or making suggestions for game improvements, even if someone else doesn't agree to that 'improvement'. Whiners, in my opinion, are those that post in a thread and ...... whine ..... and continue endless debates about trivia and name calling.

Peace~

Ok, so you have 45 storage slots per character, I'm going to leave out the 20 that are shared because they don't apply to my topic.
If you get three sets of armor (not sure why, but you could probably justify needing them for different situations) then that takes up 12-6 slots (12 body pieces, -4 you're wearing, +4-8 headpieces). Then I suppose if you really wanted to stretch, you could come up with a reason that 15 different weapons would be effective in various situations. So you're using up 30-34 slots just with weapons, armor, ID kit, Salvage, and your current area's keys. I know I like to have things lying around and sometimes find things for other professions that I might use on other characters, even characters I haven't created yet. And it can be justified that monks can use 8 slots of inventory for healing, smiting, and protection, so they would need 24 slots. So, to really play the game at your maximum potential, with weapon/shield/focus switching per the needs of the situation, you could easily use up all your storage solely on equipment. That's pretty annoying. And this is where I counter myself. I recall reading somewhere that ANet manages to keep GW free of subscription fees because their servers are ninja-haxed so as to require much, much less resources than servers for, say, WoW. So if keeping storage space the way it is is what it takes to keep GW free, then so be it.

you are free to reject it but here is the actual explanation as given long ago in an official post.

Anet has the complete breakdown on how peoply play the game by percents on an hour by hour log. what storage is used and how they play the game.

they will increase storage when those logs show an actually significant chunk of potential buyers are being squeezed but not for a small, loud, as stated by a NCSoft rep *vocal minority*

the game segment represented by those will not affect ANET/NCSoft bottom line sales so do not figure in it.

after winterday green colored collectors items doubling winterday collectable slots i am hoping for a collectables tab in storage

not expecting but hoping

Yeah really. Only the most extreme and very very small handful of players have a weapon/item/armor set for any situation. Expecting the game to adjust to your extreme needs is unreasonable.

Extra storage would be nice. But don't go screaming when you refuse to clear out some room or buy a character slot. You are not entitled to everything for free.

Dyes take up nine slots, unless you are hoarding more than 250 of each.

Dedicated mules make a nice extra storage area.

you are all playing the same game, just for different reasons.

therefore, one person's "concerns" are another's person's "whines" in his point-of-view.

what you need in these forums are a certain level of tolerance instead of the usual "stfu and go play wow attitude". people need to understand why certain aspects of the game may be grind for one but fun for others and be tolerant of each other's points of view. otherwise, this game will end up catering to a very very small minority of like minded consumers.

My mule is currently being taken up my inscriptions and weapons I need to sell. I barely have more than a bag on any of my characters so yeah I think more storage should be implemented. If they have to charge for it, then so be it.

Pretty much how I play too. The problem is, the game keeps moving in design and style away from those of us who just want to play the game and enjoy it and more towards needing to devote one's life to it as a chore.
